What would you do if suddenly your dog had choke with something inside his mouth? Or throat? What is your first action? What would you do next and maybe some precaution to prevent this happens again? Of course this situation is not always happen. Maybe in 1000 times it would be 1 or 2 only or maybe not. But for sure, when this horrible time happen, if you totally blur or have no idea what should you do, then you just sit down with do nothing but just waiting your dog to his last death breath.

But no worries, right now at me at Dog Heath Questions Blog, will share with you same of major incident that happen to our dog, what precaution that you should take.

The skills and technique to overtake these problems is not just any procedure as always happen to human. Right now, your patient is dog and of course it would be different.

If you think:

1.    It easy to just reach inside your dog mouth and remove the object that stuck inside, than you are wrong. Because it’s not easy to just get your hand deep inside your dog mouth.

2.    Just wait or send to the closest veterinarian clinic and let them just do a job done. Please remind, if this problem going to be serious there is no time to wait and send them to the veterinarian. Okay, maybe see the veterinarian is the first option, but you must act fast. Your dog cannot stand without oxygen in 2 minutes. How about you just take a deep breath right now and try to hold about 2 minutes without, is it okay? If not, for sure you are not like David Blaine who set a new world record for breath-holding on Wednesday, April 30, 2008, at 17 minutes and 4.4 seconds, during a live telecast of “The Oprah Winfrey Show,” in Chicago.

Because of there is no time bringing your dog see the veterinarian, the best way to overtake this problem is it all depends on you. Only you can make a different right now. We must learn skill or proven technique to give a fast action.

Below here is the technique that we should learn and practice before we face it in a real incident.

Step 1: You hold him upside down, with his head pointing down and his spine against you.

Step 2: You give repeated sharp thrusts to the abdomen.

Step 3: You lay him down and sweep the throat again for the ball.

Step 4: You repeat this until the ball comes out.

Do not panic, just make it clean and safe.

So to prevent any circumstance just keep your place with stuff like ball to prevent this horrific situation happen. If not, just about 2 or 3 minutes from now your dog is just a dead dog.
